Real Weddings: Julie & David – Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes Orlando

Julie and David are both seasoned culinary professionals, so when it came to their wedding, they had very specific ideas for their special day.  Julie wanted a candy buffet, but she wanted French Macarons incorporated into it, as well as our sweet gumball necklaces.  David was more about the food but wanted something fun for dessert.  We created a candy buffet that met all of their requests!

We purchased Julie’s favorite candies in gray, orange and white for guests to nibble on.  We created a French Macaron tower as well as individual macarons.

We created some of our signature gumball necklaces, keeping with the theme of gray, white and orange.  We also made some chocolate mustaches for the guys!

The best part of the evening for us was seeing the bride and her girls on the dance floor wearing our gumball necklaces and having a great time!  Congratulations Julie & David!

Our friend Dena Powell from Everyday Moments Photography asked us recently to provide some FSU themed sweets for an impromptu baby shower she was putting together for a friend.  They were planning to surprise the parents at an upcoming FSU tailgate party, so of course we couldn’t say no!

Our first item on the menu was our signature gumball necklaces in garnet and gold for each of the ladies!  We added red velvet cupcakes with peppermint buttercream frosting, gold macarons with blackberry filling, cherry & apple mini pies, garnet glitter cake pops, Oreo truffles, gumballs and M & M’s.

We think Dena did a fabulous job styling the table and adding all of the other FSU elements!  Thank you so much for asking us to be a part of this special event!

Gumball Necklaces

We’ve been making A LOT of gumball jewelry lately (and it’s a good thing!)!!!  I thought I’d post a sampling of our necklaces we’ve created so far..  Until next time, be sweet! xoxo

New Gumball Necklaces

We have an event coming up (quickly) that we’ve been working on for several months now.  We want everything to be perfect (as always), so we’ve been making samples of everything to make sure we have it just right.

Our signature gumball necklaces were a huge hit at the last event we did, and we think these will be even more popular!  As you can tell, the event colors are black, gold and pink.  We made black and gold necklaces a while back, and think they’re just lovely, but wanted to try pink to see how it would look.  I think we have a winner!

We will probably display both black and pink, obviously on different sides of the table, because it would be a nice contrast.  We’ll see.  We generally don’t make our final decisions on what to display and where until the day of the event (often while we’re setting up).  However, we wanted to share these little cuties with you.

By the way, we spent some time this Memorial Day baking.  Wait till you see what we made!  Till next time.. be sweet!  xoxo
