Real Events: Intimate Bridal Shower 12.26.13

Sometimes we get requests at the last minute to provide sweets or a buffet for parties, and often times have to turn them down because we’re already booked.  However, this couple, with one week until they said I Do, needed our help.  They were traveling to Reunion Resort with their families to get married, and wanted to have a dessert/candy buffet at the reception as well as sweets for their bridal shower the night before.

The wedding was scheduled for December 27th, and the bridal shower? December 26th.  Yep, the day after Christmas.  To make things even more interesting, we were already working long hours in the kitchen preparing for one of the largest weddings we’ve done to date on December 28th.  However, we just knew this couple would have trouble finding anyone to fulfill their needs, so we said yes!

We put together a menu of items for the shower that consisted of caramel apple cupcakes, our signature gumball necklaces, chocolate covered Oreos, chocolate covered pretzels and our hand painted white chocolate lips on sticks.

We delivered everything to their suite at the beautiful Reunion Resort, and set it out for them while they were enjoying their post-rehearsal dinner!

We’ve Been Published!!

Our styled shoot in Orlando Wedding Magazine is finally available online!

We were so excited when we received the call to create a glittering gold dessert buffet for Orlando Wedding Magazine in 5 days! The requirements were simple.. as much sparkle as we could muster, everything had to be either gold, peach, pink or mint, and it should be girlie and fabulous! We immediately contacted Carrie Smith of Wildflower Linen to collaborate on table linens. She had a custom Curly Willow linen created just for the shoot. A quick phone call to Lee Forrest of Lee Forrest Design LLC confirmed he was on board and had some fabulous ideas for floral design. Next up was Denise Wilson with Dogwood Blossom Stationery & Invitation Studio, LLC to see if she could do the paper products. She had just received some new equipment enabling her to create the gorgeous gold foil signs. With the team on board, we needed to come up with a menu. We spent several days finalizing our menu and design, and started baking! We were more than a little excited when after the shoot we received a call saying our table would be a full page feature, and were so thrilled when we found out last night that it was a full three page spread! We’re so thankful to the wonderful vendor friends who dropped everything to work with us to ensure this table was exactly what we envisioned! These are our photos that we took during the course of the shoot and setup, along with photos we took of the actual magazine spread. The Spring/Summer Orlando Wedding Magazine hits newsstands just before Christmas.
